The Upstairs Bathroom

If you have guests, they are pretty much guaranteed to use the bathroom.  They may not ever go into any of the bedrooms, but they will need to use the loo and wash their hands, or even have a shower (though if they’re showering at your house, it’s pretty likely they’ve seen the bedrooms).

We needed it to be kid-friendly, but adaptable to their growing (as it will, in the end, be their bathroom, used sometimes for guests).  A classic, timeless finish was necessary.

Many hours were spent on Pinterest, ploughing through all sorts of design, type and materials used.  Mr Hammer and I are not ‘modern’ kind of people.  We don’t generally follow trends.  We pared down our list and got a general idea of what we did and didn’t like.

Those pebbles, though!  They’re just so pretty and they feel amazing under your feet.  You can find some just like it here:  Sea Green Pebble Tile 1 sq.ft. (Mesh Mounted).

It’s shaping up quite nicely!  I bags the first shower!

Just hangin’ about, getting painty and DIY-ey. Chilling with the kidlets and my amazing husband, playing with hair as a career. Couldn’t really get much better.

I love to make, do and create, and share what I’ve learned along the way. Also love hearing other people’s experiences, so share away!
